My name is Alice, and the idea for this webshop grew out of my deep love for gold and silver jewellery from Portugal. These creations have always inspired me with their refined elegance and exquisite details, such as filigree work and gemstones.

Due to my Portuguese family background, I often spend time in Portugal and feel at home there—whether visiting relatives in the mountainous north, exploring historic cities, or enjoying the coastline. When my vision for the webshop began to take shape, I traveled across the country in search of the most remarkable designer jewellery.

During this journey, I discovered several designers whose work immediately stood out to me. Their distinctive styles, combined with the fact that each piece is designed and crafted in their own ateliers, made them truly exceptional. Meeting these talented women, admiring their collections, and selecting a fine range for Dona Aurora has been a wonderful experience. Because every item is handcrafted, Dona Aurora offers only limited editions—making each piece all the more special to wear.

The name of the shop is a tribute to my Portuguese great-grandmother, a lady (dona) named Aurora. A unique name that, to me, perfectly reflects the character and individuality of the jewellery.
